A ward for the dying in a hospital, a room in the ward, two beds in the room and two patients. One by the window, the other against the wall.

In the last days of their lives, the one on the windowsill, looking out of the window from morning till night, tells all he sees to his bedridden friend on the wall who can't see anything and can't stand up.

"It is overcast today, the clouds are thicker. It looks like rain. The sea is more wavy, the lighthouse is bright today. All the benches in the park are full today... Again that old man came with a bag of feed, feeding the pigeons... They all flocked to his head and arms again... One of the lovers is wearing her pink hat again, it suits her very well..."

"The purple lilies in the garden look very nice. They are in full swing these days, everything is purple... Two rows of yellow daisies next to them, yellow and purple go well together".

"Oops, one of the little ones fell off the swing, luckily nothing happened, his mother hugged him and he was quiet..."
She is laughing now...

"Students? They are immersed in their books again... Let me see.... The bagel man is here, they buy two bagels, cut them into five pieces and eat them..."

"Now they've joined the children, they're flying kites. The kite is going up and up and up..."

As each day goes on like this, as he describes everything he sees, suddenly one day, he has a terrible attack...! If he presses the button on the wall, he can call a doctor. And maybe save his friend. But.... But.... If his friend dies, the window will be empty. And he will be able to stand in front of the window he has always wanted and look out with his own eyes, the way he has always wondered.

And he doesn't press the button on the wall. He doesn't call a doctor, he doesn't ask for help. His friend dies. The next morning, they take his bed from the wall and move it in front of the window.

The moment he has been waiting for has arrived. He slightly stretches his head from where he is lying and looks out. There is nothing but a wall at the bottom of the window, the front of the window is bricked up...
It is to lose the barley in your hand on the way to the wheat... Sometimes we realize how precious the things we have are only after we lose them. We are human beings, we forget the goose in our hand and covet the neighbor's chicken. Like a country without roads, we remain blind to reality and get lost on other people's roads...

It should be possible to stop seeing someone else's drop as an ocean only by getting to know nature and the universe. Nature goes its own way... It doesn't pity, it doesn't cry, it doesn't grieve, it doesn't envy... Why don't we learn this from it? Why doesn't it envy a ladybug crawling on a blade of grass, a squirrel dancing in a walnut tree? Or the lizard crawling on dry earth, the eagle piercing the clouds with splendor in the sky? How much we struggle to be nobody in the end. To be so much and in the end to be nothing....

"He who looks outside dreams, he who looks inside wakes up," says Jung. And he continues: "The place where change takes place is not the environment or someone else, but within ourselves".

Believe me, even if it seems like I am telling you all this, it is not true... I have been making all these suggestions to myself for years, but I still haven't become, I am still not cooked, I am still raw.
