Vineyard harvests
Grape musts
Winter preparations
Sweet breezes
Naive nights
Rains
There are good beginnings
And happy songs...
How beautifully Özdemir Asaf describes autumn...
"Afternoon suns are as warm as bunches of grapes.
Evening winds are as sensual as a whip touching the skin" says Ahmet Altan about autumn.
I've written and drawn a lot about autumn before, but you still can't get enough of it. I think fall is the most romantic and emotional season. It may seem like a season of sorrow and sadness to some, but I always say it is my favorite season...
The one thing that saddens me the most is the departure of migratory birds. It both makes me sad and makes me think, deeply, deeply...
And it also makes you a little jealous...
Their dispossession and consequently their self-confidence. Imagine them coming in the spring and leaving their muddy, laboriously built homes in the fall...
This year I had the chance to get to know them a little better. In the spring, I shared my summer with a small family of swallows who built a nest just under the eaves in a corner of my porch that was not affected by the sun and wind.
According to what I researched at the time, the female bird built the nest by making mortar with the dust, soil, grass, and garbage she collected from the surrounding area and the spit of the male. She would stick the mortar to the flat wall, shape it with her beak, fill it with feathers and hair and make it comfortable. Moreover, he was strengthening the foundation and strengthening the house with real construction workmanship.
They looked so happy; finally autumn came; they left without hesitation, without looking back, like all other migratory birds.
they just walked away. Leaving behind a huge void inside me. With a thousand questions and a hundred puzzles...
They have been doing this since the planet has existed. Even if they perish on the roads due to global climate changes and untimely rains, storms and winds, they do not care and continue on their way with what is left. When I say they don't mind, I mean they don't turn back from their paths, because they have families and children too, who knows how and what they talk about, who knows maybe they feel their loss. According to an article circulating on the internet these days, scientists have proven that even plants have feelings and suffer. When people who burned the forest and chopped down trees with axes entered the forest, all the plants were silent and their energy even dropped. Wow... How cruel human beings are...
Moreover, everyone should know that plants and animals are the true owners of this planet, even though they are the last to arrive on this earth, and in a very short time, they have brought the planet to the brink of destruction, even changing the climate; although we no longer lift the covers of our encyclopedias, maybe you can find some accurate information on the internet.
Anyway. What really makes me think is the message of these migratory birds. Could they be a great role model?
No car, no house. I don't need nicer clothes, I don't need to earn the most money, I don't need to save, I don't need a doctor, I don't need medicine. Be born, give birth, live naturally, die when the time comes! Freedom of dispossession! No ownership! No dependency! No worrying if my home will be destroyed when I return next year, no worrying if someone else will take it!
It's a marvelous freedom!
It is an incredible flow!
As the poet says:

Birds of a feathered mind
Wings full of hope
